From the end of 2021, into early 2022, those with Long COVID, and also with a COVID Vaccine Injury, were more easily able to get Monoclonal Antibodies (mAbs) without having acute COVID. Devin Russell, of LCF, started a Facebook Group in 2021 called "Monoclonal Antibodies & Meds for Long Haul Covid" in order to discuss how people responded to taking mAbs for Long COVID.
In the group a survey was taken by 27 people who were administered mAbs for Long COVID and COVID Vaccine Injury. Below are the results:
27 Participants: 17 with Long COVID, 9 with COVID Vaccine Injury, & 1 with both.
The Long COVID group (including 1 with both Long COVID & a COVID Vaccine Injury) improved 28.7%.
The Long COVID group went in for treatment 23 times. The brands used were: 11 REGEN-COV, 9 Bamlanivimab & Etesevimab, & 3 Bamlanivimab.
Of the Long COVID cohort, 32% stated they felt much better after mAbs, 24% a little better, 28% about the same, 12% a little worse, & 4% a lot worse.
Monoclonal Antibodies represent a potential treatment for those with Long COVID, especially since SARS-CoV-2 viral persistence has been shown to occur in a significant portion of those with Long COVID. The question is will mAbs be enough? Some of the issues we envision with this treatment are:
High cost
Long time to develop them
Strength (are they administered at high enough dosages?)
Effectiveness versus differing variants, of which there are many
Ability to get everywhere in the body that SARS-CoV-2 is hiding (brain, CNS, tissues)
Nevertheless, we hope this treatment, keeping in mind it's potential limitations the way they are currently formulated and administered, will be something more earnestly pursued in trials.

Survey Side Effects:
1. Anxiety, Headache
2. Gained new horrible symptoms I didn’t have prior to mab’s
3. Nausea, Dizziness, Diarrhea, Head pressure
4. Wheezing
5. neuropathy and burning skin
6. Dizziness, Lightheadedness, tachycardia, SOB
7. Same just stronger
8. Anxiety, Insomnia, night sweats, burning legs
9. Dizziness, Headache, Increase in paresthesias/burning. Increased food/med sensitivities (not sure if this was mAb related or just happened to coincide). I did have tachycardia episodes a couple of times after mAbs and hadn't had those before, again not sure if they caused it or just coincidental
10. Anxiety, High heart rate
11. burning airway
12. Headache, Anxiety, Chest pressure, fatigue, During treatment back chest and face tightened. Chest and face got very hot My heart was beating through my ears it was very intense. They turned it off waited 10 minutes and restarted at a slower speed and I made it through okay.
13. Nausea, Headache
